Tabor Apartments

Tabor Apartments include 23 studio or one bedroom suites for seniors 65+.

All Apartments are non-smoking and pet free. Tenants must be capable of living independently with community resources such as Home Care available if eligible.  Tenants are responsible for the care of their Unit.  Weekly housekeeping is provided in public areas.

Tabor Apartments are owned by Manitoba Housing Corporation and managed by Tabor Home Inc. The cost of the Apartments within this complex is based on income. Studio suites are 25% of total income and one bedroom suites are 27% of total income. Rent includes shared laundry facilities, hydro and water.

Acceptance for housing is based on an application process, which includes reference checks, and availability.  There is generally a waiting list.

SSGL

The “Support to Seniors in Group Living” program is offered to residents of the Tabor Units and Apartments.

The SSGL facilitator is available to assist residents with life management skills such as making appointments, arranging meal delivery, ordering groceries, or providing assistance with mail correspondence. Additional services are provided based on individual needs. The services of SSGL do not duplicate homecare services.

Social activities such as coffee breaks, bible study, meal outings, exercise programs, BBQ’s and special events are scheduled. A monthly calendar is supplied listing the various activities.
