For the past 15 years Ron Peters has been a constant presence in Tabor Home- bringing kindness, comfort , and joy to our residents.
15 years of showing up with smile, a lending a listening ear, sharing laughter, and offering a gentle hand when it's needed most.
Volunteering with the elderly takes a rare kind of heart - one that values patience, empathy, and connection above all else .
Ron has given over 1000 hours, not for recognition but because he genuinely cares.
Over the years Ron has built friendships that have brightened the days of residents and staff alike.
Whether it's helping with activities, sitting quietly in conversation or simply bringing warmth into a room.
Ron has made an incredible difference - one moment, one smile, and one kind word at a time .
15 years of service is an amazing milestone . It speaks of loyalty, commitment and love for what you do .
Ron, on behave of all of us residents, staff and families- we want to thank you for reminding us all what it truly means to give .

May 5 - 8 we celebrated our ladies with a beautiful Mother’s Day Tea, that was held in each Aspen, Birch and Cedar houses. Dogwood and Elm house met in the community centre. The ladies enjoyed a delicious strawberries and cream cake, tea, flowers, music and memorable conversations. Thank you to the Tabor Home Recreation staff for putting on such a wonderful event.
A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to the Horticultural Society Volunteers!
They were at Tabor Home on May 6th cleaning up our gardens and courtyards for the season.
We want to acknowledge their many hours and hard work they have contributed to Tabor Home.

Planting Day!
The Tabor Home team (current and alumni) and The Horticultural Society volunteers have been busy planting trees, shrubs and perennials along Tabor Home’s pathway.
Thank you to everyone who was able to help! We also want to thank Monique and her team at Morden Nurseries for assisting Tabor Home with this project.

So, this pathway isn't only for residents of Tabor Home and their families, but we want the community to be able to use it as well. So that folks inside, maybe that they don't have somebody there to go out with them, can see other people utilizing this and bring a sense of community to them."
